Abstract
Light is recognized as a social element in the perception and realization of the environment. Lighting supports perceptual and environmental norms that can increase the presence of people in space and increase its vitality. Different lighting conditions may have various effects on behavior, mental perception of public space. Historic buildings are non-renewable sources of culture and history that represent the culture, tradition, and history of a city or country and have always been a good destination for tourists. The lighting of the monument should create a kind of identity and promotion that attracts public attention and increases recognition of the place. The lighting design of historical buildings has a great impact on contests between cities, increasing business activities, nightlife quality, attracting tourists, and creating collective events and memories. Adequate lighting, without glare and light pollution, is one of the requirements to invite people to be present in that space. Optimal lighting should minimize the harm of light and ensure the health of people who use the place. An accurate lighting system can ensure appropriate comfort standards and facilitate the use of the city, improve the quality of life of citizens and prevent excessive lighting and light pollution. In this research, we suggest a lighting design based on related international experiences and lighting systems standards for Safavi bridge, this design also reduces the harms of lighting systems and provides the necessary parameters for human health. Non-harmful light design should not allow luminaires to send light directly and above the horizontal, should not waste downward light outside the aim area; avoid over lighting and light pollution, don’t lit up the area that is not in use and strongly limit the short-wavelength ‘blue’ light. also replacing old lighting systems like metal halide and sodium lamps with new generation LEDs Saves energy consumption and reduces harmful effects of old light sources. The basic elements of any proposed design should be considered to decide on the best lighting design method. Then, in terms of intensity, color temperature, and color rendering indices, filters, forms, and distribution characteristics, the appropriate lights that provide the best solution can be selected. Finally, in this research, using the international experiences in lighting design, effective parameters in optimal lighting for people's health were extracted. a lighting design system is stimulated and suggested dialux software for this historical building that can be generalized to other historical buildings and places. The simulation results show that the proposed designs not only meet the lighting standards and health factors but also reduced the consumption of energy and maintenance costs. In terms of economic, the cost of our suggested lighting designs is 70 percent of the cost of the current BRIDGES lighting system. And in terms of technical indicators and health parameters, such as minimum light intensity, glare, blue light, and uniform light distribution, the proposed design is preferable.
